Privacy policy
Effective September 30, 2026 · Applies to all Rodeo APPS apps
This is a translation; if there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This policy explains what information the Rodeo APPS (Quiz Rodeo) apps collect —such as Quiz Enfermería, Quiz Farmacia, Quiz Odontología, Quiz Medicina, HematoQuiz, LabQuiz and QuizLab, hereinafter “the apps”—, what we use it for and how you can control or delete it.
1. What data we collect
Account data
- Name and email address, when you sign in with Google or with your email.
- Profile photo, only if you choose to upload one or if it comes from your Google account.
- Country: the app takes it from the country of your SIM card or mobile network (or from the phone's language if there is no SIM). We do not use GPS or your precise location. You can change it whenever you want from your profile.
- Phone and social media (optional): your phone number and your Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or TikTok username, only if you choose to add them to your profile.
Game data
- Scores, coins, levels cleared, medals, accuracy statistics and position in the rankings.
- Certification exam results and the name you choose for your certificate.
- The ratings (👍 Like, ❤️ Love, 🧠 Very smart, 🌟 Inspiring) you give to other players and the ones you receive.
- Bookmarked questions and question reports you send us.
Purchases
- If you buy “Remove ads”, we store the purchase identifier to activate it on your account. The payment is processed by Google Play: we never see or store your card details.
Technical data
- An identifier to send you notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- The device's advertising identifier, which Google AdMob uses to show ads.
- Basic technical information your device sends when connecting (for example, the IP address), which we use for security and to run the service.
2. What we use it for
- To create your account, save your progress and sync it across devices.
- To show the rankings, the medal table by country, your public profile and your statistics.
- To issue your certificates and allow them to be verified.
- To send you notifications about the app (you can turn them off in your phone settings).
- To show the ads that fund the free apps, or remove them if you bought that option.
- To improve the questions, fix errors and prevent cheating or unauthorized access to accounts.
We do not sell your personal data or use it to send you advertising by email.
3. What other players see
The rankings and the medal table show your name, profile photo, country flag, score and medals. When they tap your name, other players see your public profile: in addition to the above, your rank, the date you started playing, the social media you have added and how many ratings of each type you have received (who gave each one is not shown). They can also see your photo in full size.
Your email address and phone number are never shown to other players. You can change your photo or remove your social media at any time from Edit profile. If you share your position card or your certificate, you decide where and with whom.
Certificates: each certificate has a verification code. Anyone who has that code (for example, because you posted it on LinkedIn) can look up on this website the name on the certificate, the app, the result and the date.
4. Third-party services
The apps use Google services that process data according to their own policies:
- Firebase (sign-in and notifications).
- Google AdMob (ads).
- Google Play (app download and payments).
When you open a social network from a profile, that network processes your data according to its own policy.
Our servers store game and account data. We only share information when required by law or to protect the security of users and the service.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, we erase from our servers your profile, country, social media, scores, medals, levels, statistics, bookmarks, reports, the ratings you gave and received, your exams and certificates (which can no longer be verified) and the purchase record. Backups are renewed regularly, and deleted information also disappears from them.
You can delete your account from the app or ask us by email without installing it: see how to delete your account.
6. Your rights
- Access and correct: your name, photo, country, phone and social media are edited from the app profile.
- Delete: from the app or by writing to us.
- Object to personalized ads: from Google's ad settings on your phone.
- For any other request, write to us at info@quiz.rodeo.
7. Children
The apps are designed for students and professionals and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we find out it happened, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child gave us data, write to us.
8. Security
The apps communicate with our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS), the server verifies each user's session before changing their account, and access to the information is limited to those who run the service. No system is infallible, but we work to protect your data.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. For privacy questions: info@quiz.rodeo.
